Default adjusting drawlength

I installed new strings and cables a couple of weeks ago. I twisted everything until all my bow specs were good. The drawlength just seems a bit long now on the 28" setting. I tried the 27" setting and it is too short. What is the easiest or best way to get it in between those two settings. Tightening or loosening string or cable or both, and which setting should my modules be in? I like my loop as short as possible so I am trying to avoid changing that.

I guess I should have at least mentioned it is a reflex with slam and 1/2 cams, adjustable by one inch increments.

Not that familar with the Hoyt bows, but generally, if you want the best performance from the cams, you set the mod for the short setting and twist the cables up. Set it for 28" and you have to twist the string. This will make the bow a little smoother, but with a touch less letoff, and a little less vibration. It's your choice really.

You have the rest of the summer. Try it both ways and see which you like.

Thanks, I see what you are talking about. One way will rotate the cams back, and the other will rotate forward. I'll try both as you suggested.

Check out Javi's thread on setting up new strings and cables on Hoyt bows. It is over on Archery Talk. He goes into pretty good detail on how various adjustments to strings and cables can affect draw length and other variables on Hoyt bows.
