I'm trying to build some 28" arrows with Beman ICS Hunter shafts. I want to use 100 gr brass inserts with 100 gr tips. I believe I need to get 340's but I just want to be sure that I shouldn't get 300's because of the added weight up front. Any help you could offer would be much appreciated.
Mechdoc, correct me if I'm wrong, but does that first scenario call for a 28.5 inch shaft to spine correctly? Also in the Insert box is that where you calculated for the 100 gr brass insert? Thanks for the help. I appreciate it.
Archers Advantage came up with the Beman ICS Hunter 340Â*28" 100gr insert, 100gr head, 3 blazers and super nock.
Optium spine, est weight 490gr, FOC 17.8% with a est. speed of 266fps
Thanks Kanga. Both programs seem to be the same. I wish I could get 266fps with that arrow out of my bow though. I've got some arrows roughly that weight that I'm getting 252fps out of right now.
