Default 2000 hoyt magnatec!!

i was wondering how good of a bow is the hoyt magnatec. i just got a 2000 model from a guy who could not even spell hoyt (because he sold me this brand new bow for $150) it is a 2000 model but has only been shot four times. i also got the arrows and release. the whole deal $150! this bow came in the package deal with the hoyt fiber sights and the nap arrowrest. i was wondering from those of you who are familiar with these bows what are some things that you have experienced to help it shoot a little bit better? or did it shoot good from the start?

Click,

That sounds like a pretty good deal even if the bow was shot 100 times. Even the least expensive Magnatec over the last few years sold for around $280. The least expensive current year' s model sells for $300. So, with that rest/sight combo, and provided the bow is in good condition, I think you did rather well. My only question to you, and just out of curiousity, would be what cams and limbs are on the bow? Are they solid limbs or split? Is it a single or dual cam model? That would make it alot easier in determining the original value of the bow.

i have a 2001 and paid $405 just for the bow. xt2000 limbs and versa cam. with any luck you have the same limbs and the redline cam. regardless you have a good bow and the price sounds real good. my magna tec shoots well. i was so happy with it that i bought another hoyt this year and cannot admagin ever not owning a hoyt. I started with a mathews then woke up.
