Default Did they set me up with the correct arrow?

Bowtech General
26 inch DL, Set at 55 lbs

Carbon Express Maxima 250
335gr arrowtip is 100gr

the crono said 243fps they said it has 44 ft/lbs KE

I told them I wanted a heavier arrow, something that would give me a punch and not fly like a rock. They just did a paper tune and picked the arrow that made a bullet hole, do you think these will workout for me?
The KE seems kinda low.

Thanks for all the help Guys.

I think the arrow total weight is 435 Im not sure, the paper they gave me has the two weights in differnt sections. The arrow has 5in feathers should I re-fletch themwith smaller blazers, Will that effect my groupings?

Well you can get the weight per inch of the arrow, add about 9 grns for the fletchings another 15 for the nock and insert, the head and you should be very close to the weight. Unless those shaft weight over 15 grns an inch (doubtfull) your weight is the 300 number. You can make the next arrows longer. Even at 30" I don't think you'll be underspined, but I can't say for sure and I think I've heard those bows require a stiffer arrow.

For now you can replace the feathers with a 4" vane an add about 20 grns. Blazer will only add 10 and the higher stiffer profile is not desirable to some myself included. I wouldn't go to heavier head with the feathers. The dropcould increase greatly the farther the shot. You'll have to try it for yourself. Some do some don't.

Best thing you can do is learn to make you own. Experimenting is a lot easier and cheaper that way.

In the Easton line of arrows, you could easily get by with a 500 series arrow at 26".

The numbers you have just given us shows you to have 57ft lbs of KE
243 X 243 X 435/ 450240= 57.05 ft lbs. which is good enough for any north american wild game....

I shoot a similar rig: General, 27" draw, CE Maxima 250s but I cut them 28". I use 4" Duravanes and have no problems. I also just fletched some 250s with Blazers today. Will shoot them tomorrow. Will let you know.

Lightspeed 340 or 400 would work with blazers...
