Default broadhead weight

I am shooting a Fred Bear Instinct set at 70lbs. , 28" draw . For arrows I use Carbon Express Maxima hunter 350's and 100 grain rages. The question is are the 100's enough or should I go to 125's ? Thank you for any help you may have.

100 grains should be just fine.

You have an excellent set-up, I wouldn't change a thing. Good luck and good shootin'

first, if you want to stick with rage then you can't go to 125 b/c they don't make them that big
second, what are you hunting??? for deer size or smaller 100 is perfict

You didn't say how long your arrow was but I will assume about 27 inches. Most peoples arrowsare about an inch or so shorter tahnd their draw length.

An instinct at 70 pounds at 28 inches and Maxima 350'swill cause you to have an over spined arrow with a 100 grain head.

I would try a 125 if it were mine better yet a 125 with even a little weight added to the inserts or a broadhead weight adapter like what is available from Aftershock archery. A broadhead of 125 - 150 grains will put youclosertothe middle of that arrows spine rating. As you are right now you have a very stiff arrow set up.

This is assuming you have a 27" arrow and are your bow is pulling a full 70 pounds at 28 inches.

you will be fine with either weight. It really comes down to personal choice.

With 100 gr and that arrow with your DL and probably an arrow under 28" you areoverspined. I'd go with the 125 gr.

I have the same set up and carbon express told me to use 125 grain instead of 100
