Default fred bear TRX or hoyt Magnatec??

i am looking at buying a new bow and i like both the fred bear TRX and also the hoyt magnatec. the only this that gets me is the hoyt is a little bit heavier. but when the time of truth comes for me in the stand i get the adrenaline rush and i think that maybe the little bit of weight would help me steady the bow. what are your thoughts on these two bows, both are price at $400

which would you chose

Specs are similar...axle to axle length of around 36 inches...brace height in the 6.5 to 7 inch range. The Magnatec is a few fps faster and has the TEC riser design along with the extremely durably XT2000 limbs. The TRX has a more torque free grip though I do not particularly care for the recurve limbs I have found the carbon quad limbs to be quite durable as well.

My vote goes for the Magnatec for the simple reason that I like the entire package better. Either choice would be a good one.

thanks, do you think that the heavier bow will help with steadiness?

I think that a light bow hurts you, rather than helps. The extra weight adds a bit of stabilization for me. Just my opinion, we all have them!

my only concern is that i can not hold the heavier bow in the drawn position for as long as i can the other. should that really be a concern?
