Hi PABowhntr, After reading your review on the Razertec, I was wondering if you will(or have and I didn' t see it) be doing any reviews on the Cyber,Ultra, or Protec? I love a longer ata and a slightly deflexed riser because my form isn' t " rocksolid" . My 00' Magnatec was 38' ' I believe, so the Ultratec, and Protec are more my style. Oh and another ? did the R-TEC shoot better with a prong style or a side pressure style rest, my Magnatec wouldn' t tune right with the prong style, but the side pressure was the ticket to tight groups, How does the cam and a 1/2 responed to the two styles mentioned above. Thank you and Its nice to " see" everyone after a 4mo. hiatus!

I do not plan on doing any reviews of the bows in question. Out of the bunch, only the Cybertec comes close, in terms of specs, to what I like to hunt with.....and even if I did want to try one of the others I would have a long wait. The local shops do not have any of those models in stock and there is something like a 6-8 week wait on ordered bows.

On the bright side, it does give me a chance to try other 2003 lineups...

As for the rest type....I only tried a standard " TM hunter" style rest as well as one or two drop-away designs on the Razortec. Both worked flawlessly. I would also think that a Huntmaster 2000 " finger rest" or a Bodoodle Timberdoodle could also be utilized with relatively good results as they both allow for some vertical spring.

i have a 2001 magna tec. i just bought the 2003 ultretec. afterm about 10 shots i had the ultratec zeroed in and have been shooting 2 inch groups of 5 at 20yards. do to string strech i have not even tried to paper tune the new bow yet. i am very happy with my choice of primary bow and secondary bow as far as that goes. 360 grain at 65 pounds 273fps. hope this helps. the 2 bows have the same ata but the riser on the ultratec is longer. for me this could be a problem as i have built all of my bow holders to fit my magnatec. i sure hope i do not have to take down all of my stands and modify my holders. that will be a lot of work.
i chose the ultratec over the cybertec because of the brace height. the cybertec is a faster bow. my ultra tec has the cam and a half not the spiral.
