Default D-Loop

I just scanned across the post "Just punched myself in the face" and noticed a lot of comments about the loop twisting around. I just bought my new bow a few months ago and my loop spins some. Is this a real problem or just something a few people don't want to mess with?

I was having the same problem till I bought some material from RedCharm in the archery classifieds section.

Then when I received it I used Greg's awesome tutorial as a reference: http://huntingnet.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=2185934
and I am not getting no spinning or twisting anymore. It's worth every cent IMO.

Hope this helps!

Well if I need to fix this issue I now know how. That is a great tutorial.
So mynext question...Why would it be turning and is it a problem that NEEDS to be fixed? Thanks

Usually with new strings on your bow generally your loop will twist and it might take a while before it's all worked out but as soon as I bought that material I stated above the issue was corrected. It mainly depends on how you tie the knot and what material you use. I had 3 loops on mine that all were turning until I put the material from RedCharm on and it hasn't turned since.

One other possibility is that your center serving is slipping, allowing the loop to turn

For a quick fix until you get better loop material . You can untie the loop and put some srting wax on it and the retie it . It should hold for abit until you could get some better loop material
