Default Thumb Release?

I am trying to switch to a thumb release and any help or advice would be much appreciated.
Do you use a kisser with a thumb release?
Where do you anchor? And how? Details help-(for example)bottom or back of jaw bone, 1st-2nd-3rd-4th knuckle, ect.

I love my Genesis Mag X, I wouldn't use anything else. Anchor high on the jaw bone with second knuckle. If you like a kisser button, that's fine. I prefer not use one. I use it for 3D and hunting.
