Default QAD .....

does anyone know the diameter of the cable that comes with QAD rests? I need a longer cable after doing some tuning.

I don't have the exact diameter here in front of me, but I know normalD loop material is a little too fat to fit through the knob.

It's kind of hard to measure string with a digital caliper but it's approximately .085", the d-loop material that I have measures .110".

D loop cord works fine. If you want that rest to drop down faster use a longer cord and fasten it on the downward cable a couple if inches lower than normal.

Last weekend I put a longer cord in my buddy's QAD since it needed to be adjusted and the "pro" shop cut and burned both ends making adjustment difficult at best. I used BCY string loop and it worked good, did have to work with it a little to get it threaded thru. I like to seperate the string and run the cord thru (serve above) then tie a knot and leave an inch or two of tail in case of adjustments later on or if you want to put it on another bow.

I just replaced mine with BCY string loop - maybe there are different string diameters.
