Default Tied my first peep...issue.

So I'm slowly trying to become more self sufficient. I just bought an ultra press, and decided to install my G5 peep. I installed it, took it out of the press and drew back and tweeked the height just right then tied it in (following the tutorial Washington Hunter posted on here). Well here's the kicker. The peep sits at a slight angle at rest, and if I correct it back to a normal position, once I shoot just once, it rotates back to the same spot. Now I also tied my own d-loop, and made sure I tied the opposite ends on opposite sides of the string so it wouldn't twist, and it doesn't. Shot after shot, my d-loop stays in the same place, but my peep is slighlty angled. What's the best way to correct this? Untie it, and just play with it's positioning before retying?

Oh, btw, strings are still very new, so string fatigue isn't the issue.

Default RE: Tied my first peep...issue.

If the bowstring is real new, it's probably going to stretch some in the near future and the peep will change some correspondingly (maybe better, maybe worse). But the two ways I have had the best luck curing a crooked peep are to either a) turn your D loop so it brings the peep straight when you draw the bow back. Over time, this will often "train" the string to stay in the right spot for the peep to be straight. b) press the bow and twist one end of the bowstring 1/2 turn or more to bring the peep around straight. This often takes several attempts to get it right - usually have to shoot it a couple of times to get things settled in.
