Default GKF Tranquilizer problem.

I just received the tranquilizer from a online dealer and placed it on my bow. The part that is screwed in to the bow is slightly bent so when the stab is on the bow its not perfectly straight. Should this be something to worry about?, does it take away from its dampening/stabilizing ability? Should I return it?

Thanks

Depending on much it is ' bent' , you could still use it. But, if you paid going rate, it shouldn' t be ' bent' . If you got one of those great deals, it may be too expensive for the shipping/time/trouble that it would take.

I would return it if the overriding factors above don' t prevail.

you can do one of 2 things return it to the store you got it from or you can call Golden Key (800) 448-7378 and talk to them.

sometimes these type of things slip through, sorry for your bad experience but it will be made better.

Hi,
I just wanted to let everyone know that I received excellent customer service from Barb at GKF, and got a brand new Tranquilizer, no questions asked. I also have one question, the model I have is the original 5.5oz.-7 1/4" and on the packaging it says that extra weight can be added or it can be coupled with another stab. The question is how can I take the cap off to couple with another stab, it doesent want to come off do I twist it off? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Allunit78 - the original style of tranquilizer does not allow you to add weights. the other models do & they have a hold on the front.

For most hunting applications the original style is going to work just fine!

Good Shooting

ALLU..the screw that is not in line will not be a problem in the Function of the
Tranquilizer, but as you found out we will gladly replace it if you want.

There are 4 current different models in the Tranquilizer line with SIMS Technology
Made by Golden Key.

1) the 400 Model Hunter (yours)7 in. without Weight adaptor
2) the 410 Model Shorty Hunter 5 1/2 in. with Weight adaptor threaded to add weights
3) the 420 Model 3/D Hunter 7 1/2 in. with Weight adaptor Threaded to add weights
4) the 415 Model Mini Model 5 in. without Weight adaptor in Black only.

Thanks
