3 questions about my bow???

ok i have three pics, one is of my cable at my cam, could you tell me if it to worn or if it is me, the other pic is of my arrow in my bisciut, i can tell if it is to small or not, by the way i am shooting easton st epics, so i dont know if it in need of replacement yet or not, last picture is of my bow with an arrow in it, does it look alittle on a angle or is it me? thanks for the input mike.

1. Cable looks ok, just watch it. That is where the cable is going over the "peak" of your cam and is normal.
2. W/B is fine, Should be bigger than you arrow.
3.Looks like either your knocking point or your restmight be out of tune, but you can't really say that by looking at a picture. Take it to a bow shop, not Bass pro, and have them tune it. It is well worth the little charge to have a properly tuned bow and get the best out of it.

^ that is the thing i did have it tuned, at a pro shop and not bass or gander,but i could have bumped the rest or something, i am shooting fine though, will that through me off alot??

A good way to find out would be to paper-tune it. Shoot thru some paper and see if your fletchings tear the paper? If they do then your bow is out of tune. It's just too hard to look at a photo and say whether your rest is too high/lo or your knock point is high/lo?

If your nock is below square and it paper tunes that way, then your tiller needs to be adjusted.

That's often what happens when people try to shoot their bows with the limb bolts tightened down all the way, thinking that max poundage will give them max speed. Or if they use the silly myth that Mathews got started, that tiller is properly set by bottoming out the limb bolts and backing them off equally to the desired draw weight. Both those methods might work for some bows, but they can screw up an equal number of other bows. Looks like yours is one that gets screwed up.

I'm trying to visualize tiller imbalance causing the bow to tune with a low nocking point . . . . . . is the upper limb too strong here, or does the lower limb need to be backed off a little?

When the tiller is set right, and the limbs are in balance, the arrow will be square to the riser, like this -|--<<<

Nock high would have the arrow crossing like this -/--<<

Nock low, the arrow would be crossing the other way -\--<<

The weaker limb will be closer to the shooter at full draw, bcause it's bending more. So, in the case of a nock point below square, the top limb will be too strong.

IMO, the cable serving is not dangerous yet, but I would want to get it reserved with smaller diameter serving served very tight, to see if that doesn't improve things. The Whisker Biscuit looks just fine. Your nock point looks a bit low. Perhaps this is because the tiller is off, as Arthur suggested, or maybe that is just the way the pic makes it look. You should not be too far off though.

It helps me to draw a picture as well [8D]. So for a bow that will only tune with a very high nocking point, one possible solution might be to back off the lower limb a little . . . . .
