Default Fletching Problems

i was shooting my bow yesterday and 2 of myarrows started flying wierd.

Come to find out the off color vains were peeling off the (Brand New never been shot before yesterday) arrow!!!!

I stopped shooting those and glued them back on.They fly ok now.

What caused that???

Could it be my Wisker Biscuit???

Could be the biscuit. Who fletched the arrows? I shot the w/b for a while and never had it peel the vanes off. It will however warp them some. It sounds like you might need to find someone else to fletch your arrows for you or do it yourself imo.

I have a friend that shoots a WB and he puts just a spot of super glue on the very front of his vanes so the rest won't wear.Might try that.

The only times I had the WB causing vanes to come off was when a group tightened up and they would get torn with an incoming arrow .
The arrow might have been new to you but were they actually newly made ? I had some aluminum arrows collecting dust in my shed . They had not been shot and I was giving them to a friend's kid . The vanes were coming off when we handled them . Go figure !
