Where to start where to start. I guess the question is why isnt there a definative way to tune your bow. I know it starts with good equipment, experiance, and patients...However it seems as though the tools to fix all the problems that one could have after leaving their local retail bowmart can seriouslydrivesomeone over the edge reallyfast. Im talking form the pocket to the patience part. Now to the question.Where can i find the answers withoutknowing all the questions. Everytime i turn around its an arrowspine, or a broadhead, or a knocking point, or a form flaw, or a draw length or a peep sight. I want to know how to fix the problems, there has to besomewhere to find the answer. Please help.
Yep, you'll never learn if you don't ask. AND, I've been a member on this site coming up on 3 years. I didn't know squat about tuning a bow when I joined. Had to rely on a "proshop" to do everything. Now, they don't ever see me.

In order to fix a problem, one has to know what it is first. I think often times people want to severely over complicate bow tuning. Start with asomewhat properly spined arrow, and then just follow easton's (or about any other) simple tuning guide and you are going to work out probably 98% of all the issues you can encounter.

Some good answers here. I learnt by doing and my bows haven't been in a shop in over 35 years of shooting. Made lots of mistakes along the way. I figure if a guy ain't never made a mistake then he most likely has never learned anything on his own.
Luckily we have these derned internet forums today to help you young whippersnappers along. Coem join the party. Ask and ye shall recieve. Learn enough and you'll be one of ther answerers instead of one of the askers. There's a lot of room for you here, but post it in the technical section where it's not so cluttered.

Some of these guys should imagine trying to learn what you needed to just get by 40 years ago when there was no internet, no proshops I knew about, and only a couple of other archers that lived in the same county, and they were in the same boat as you.
Everything was bought pretty much mail order then!!

Trust me, it's still pretty much mail order for everything now, at least for meLOL .
Bruce, You are right!! I had a guy last week drove over a hundred miles to pick up 2 Limb Drivers. He checked 3 shops closer but none of them had them in stock.

Did you smile and tell him you have a website, then
I don't buy anything from proshops really...it's all online. A lot from you.
