Default What would you pay for this bow??

I am looking at purchasing my first bow. What would be a good price on a Martin Magnum Cougar. It is in very good condition. Barely looks like it has been used. I dont know much about them and want to know what a good price would be on it. I know it isa slightly older model. Attached is a pic.

I wouldn't pay much more than twenty bucks for it. Brand new bows with viable lifetime warranties are available for $300 and up.

Certainly don't buy a bow you haven't shot, and shoot as many as you can get your hands on!

Yeah be careful on the used bows especially if you can't shoot it. At my local shop a guy brought in a commander he bought off of e-bay, everything looked great until he drew it back. One of the limbs broke and it kind of exploded on him. Good luck in your search, And I agree with Bruce. Shoot as many as you can till you find one that feels right to you. Even though you might be new to archery you will be able to tell the difference between different bows, especially an older model bow as compared to a new one. Good luck and welcome to the wonderful world of archery. Keep asking questions, there are plenty of really good people on this site that are more than willing to help a newbie.

My friend Just paid $180.00 for an '07 model on ebay. Irt did not have any accessories on it. Martins are very inexpensive on the resale market.

For that one $200.00 to 225.00. It looks like a 2000 model. My friend still has one of those.

How would you compare this bow to a PSE Fire-Flight with the same accessories?

I wouldn't pay over $75.

Looking at the bows in my local shops and knowing what a few of my friends have paid for bows in the 2000 to 2004 range, $75 would be the top of my price limit.
