Default 100 or 125 grains to get good spine and FOC

I'm about ready to get some new BHs and think I want to go with 125 grains but am not sure.

Heres what i got,
Mathews DXT 29 inchdraw 70 pounds Gold tip Pro about 28inches long with blazer wrapand 3 Blazers (think thats all youd need)

Any way i ran some numbers through on hunters friend website and it said my FOC is 11% with 100 grain tip and 13% with 125, both sound like what you want i think it said you want 8-15% somthing like that, so that looks good. what im wondering is a bigger tip going to make me a little under spined or is that not enough to make a difference?

My other issue is Ive been eyeing up those rage 2 blades but have yet to see them in 125 grainwhats up with that?If 125 grains is going to make me underspined and not 100, ill go with the rage 2 blade. And if 125 is good and you cant get a rage in 125 grain i'll probly go with a slick trick or muzzy fixed blade.

What do you guys think?

Thanks for any input

Brandon

You didn't state what the spine of your Gold Tips was. I'm sure others will disagree but I have honestly never seen 25 grains make that much of a difference to the spine of an arrow so I'd guess that you'll be fine unless you're right on the edge of being underspined now.

Ok so if im spined alright what would you guys prefer to have 11% or 13% FOC? or is the difference going to be negligable also?

13% FOC is perfectly fine for a hunting arrow. The general rule is 10-15% for hunting purposes.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but even with 100gr heads the 5575 are way under spined at your current set up.

The 5575 are a 400 spine shaft you will probably need a 7595 or 340 spine shaft.

He's not way underspined. He's only one block off.

That said I'd go with the 100's. You'll be fine.
