The best...in my opinion is the Bitzenberger, hands down.

Your gonna get a lot of Bitz answers here! They probably are the best but I wouldnt know never used one?

But I just started getting into it last year and bought a cheap plastic bohning with right helical and straight jigs.... and for me as a rookie fletcher I think It did a great job!
The way I look at it is this, I dont plan on fletching more then 12 arrows a year if eventhat so the cheapo will do fine for me, but if i was going to fletch lots of arrows I believe your best bet would be go with a more solid jig as in the Bitz or Jo-Jan!!

Good Luck...... ohh and keep an eye on E-bay they are always going cheap on there

There's simply no denying this statement. So the question you need to ask yourself is...."Do I NEED the best there is?"

I'm gonna bet the answer to that question is a resounding no. I can tell you from MUCH experience, that for half the price a Grayling will do equally as good work. I bought the Grayling because I just couldn't see letting go of 80 clams to refletch the occasional arrow or 2, and then found I was doing a few dozen a year. Had it 4 years now, still working great.

thanks guys for the input
i was looking on ebay earlier and saw some decent prices ranging from 10 to 40 dollars which isnt really that bad.
im on the same road as you to just fletch about 12 arrows a year and im just looking for something that will get the job done well..

why would the bitz be better than others?

Bitz!! The lack of Quality is long remembered after the bargain price is forgotten.
