Default new to bowhunting and need help!

I know ya'll have to get tired of helping newbies but this seems to be the best place to get the info. I am brand new to this and got hooked after shooting one of my friends bows. I bought a used but BARELY used pse nova and I do well at 20 yards. I can normally put 4 out of 6 in a 4" circle and the others are very close. When I back up to 30 yards I have them on the same plain but they go left and right. I noticed my pronghorns were wearing down so I put some new ones on and after 20 shots the inside one was already wearing down noticeably. I assume I have an alignment problem but do not want to adjust anything until someone can tell me the possible corrections. I dont know if it matters but I am using carbon arrows( which I think are too short) I would appreciate any help

Since your new, I would suggest taking it to a shop or to a buddy who has the tools and the knowledge to make sure it is set up correctly. You could set it up on your own, but it will take a lot of tinkering to make sure it is all correct, and you still might not be confident that you did it correctly. Once you have it set up correctly just shoot, shoot, shoot. As far as your arrows are concerned, as long as the rest isn't hitting your field tip or insert, your arrows aren't too short. Just make sure you have the correct arrows for your draw weight, tip weight, and arrow length, which again a shop will be able to tell you. There are alot of guys here that can tell you if you have the correct arrows also.

Without knowing what your doing or your problems, its hard to say. I would take it to a proshop if I was you. You do have either an alignment issue, too much spring tension, your rest is not centered, your prongs are too wide or too narrow for your fletching, nocking point too lowor all of the above. All these can cause you wear.

Might want to try bare shaft tuning. But unless your experienced shot, you can get some false indicators.

I know people has to start to learn to tune someplace. But if your new at archery, I would take to a proshop, have them take a look, and work on your shooting form and such.

Could be..could be...could be...a rest problem, incorrect arrow shaft, bent cam, something out of line, or the shooter i. e. inconstant anchor point-torquing the bow?? Or none of the above.

Did you mark your arrows? Is it the same arrows that shoot off center each time. Could be bent shafts....I assume you are shooting target points...

Have you paper turned the bow? A good place to start.

The quickest best solution is to take it to a pro shop. Then obtain good information on fine tuning the bow, take you time going through the steps and practice...
