Default Cable Dampners

A while back I read a post about the simms cable dampners and so I went out and bought some.
My question is which way should they be facing on the cable guard? I plan to put them in front of
the cable slide. The package shows them facing two different ways, one way on the front of the
package and the other way on the back.(Maybe it doesn’t matter)
Does anyone recommend using them as a cable stop?
As always, thanks for all the great info.
Dave

I put mine on with the big flat sides facing toward me just enough in front of the slide that when you shoot the dampenders do not interfere with the forward movement of the slide. Simms has a new dampener out this year that is one piece that is made with their enhancer 2000 design. It looks like it will work alot better, and goes on just like the old style. I saw it in their new catalog I picked up yesterday at my pro shop. Hope this help. Bhunter32.
