Default Stabilizer??

Im very new to the archery scene. Was wondering what exactly a stabalizer does for you when shooting? My bow is fairly balanced and doesnt fall back at me when shootingso i dont think a counterweight really going to do much. Then i see this stuff about vibration....Do they make one just for vibration with little added weight? The simms Limbsavers all would look stupid on my bow since its finished in Realtree AP...Yes cosmetics matter to me...lol

Just wondering what exactly they are for, and if one is really needed in a hunting situation?

If this is a necessary ad-on id like to get one in the $25 price range...

It's not a totally necessary addon however, they do serve a purpose. Yes they can be a counter weight but as important they do dampen vibration on a bow and assist with holding a bow. Rarely if ever will you see an competitive archer NOT use a stabilizer, they are just that, to stabilize the bow.

Simms S-coil. Probably the BEST vibration absorbing, noise dampening stabilizer on the market, especially for $22........damn hard to beat......Doesn't do much for stabilization though....
