Default New Bow, trying to teach a new shooter...

I picked up a new bow (old bow actually, new to me and him though) over the weekend to try to teach my cousin how to shoot. I'm taking him to an open indoor range tomorrow night, wish me luck, I'm thinking I'll need a little. He's never shot a bow since his teen years and he'll soon be 37, so it could be an interesting trip. He crashed a motorcycle 16 yrs. ago and has lost a "functional" short term memory, however, his hand-eye coordination is still relatively intact, as he regularly reminds me when he THUMPS me in pool, so I'm hoping he'll be capable of shooting a bow without much difficulty. Any ideas or tips???

The good news is that I just went out and set sights up now that I have a peep set correctly on the bow, and I shot 2" groups on the bull at 20yds. Shot a total of 7 arrows getting the sight where I wanted it, then shot 16 arrows, 4 groups of 4, nothing wider than 2", so if he don't like the bow, I may have to start shooting spots just to feel like I got some use out of it. In the past, I've had pretty good luck setting things up for friends, and everything being close, I just hope this is the case with him and this bow.

OUCH!! Didn't go well, looks like I'll have a LOT of work on my hands, and that still may not end up very well. Thanks for the PATIENCE advice, I think this may be an excercise in futility, but I will give it a shot anyhow. Probably not gonna try the indoor range again, as I'm not sure he was safe in there shooting within 5 ft of someone else. Wish me luck, if the weather gets a little better, I may try outside here at my house. Bow will need to be dropped down to low 50's high 40's to work, but we'll see what happens.
