Default new bow question

I went to talk to my archery shop guy that is going to order my new mathews. And we got to talking about draw lengths and mine is a 29 1/2 and he said if I put a 1/2 inch string loop on a 29 inch draw that it is more comfortable. Have you all heard of this or do you have your bows set up like this. Please let me know what you think.

He's exactly right, a loop depending on how big will change your draw length or anchor point. Really think about it. If you keep your same draw length and add a 1/2" loop, your holding your release hand back an additional 1/2" than before the loop was added.

A 29" Bow adding the 1/2" loop your right back at 29 1/2" on DL. Depending on your anchor.

I agree and for me it is even more comfortable to shoot with a loop than without, regardless of what I do to the draw length.I am able to hit my anchors better. That is probably more due to me having shot one for solong though.

I had never used a loop until I got my new bow a couple months ago. I don't think I will shoot without one again (on a compound).
