RE: FOC for Target
I have heard some of the top minds in archery, like Easton and PSE techs say it makes no difference on 3D. The targets are short distance, and the velocities are very high. To make maters more interesting, you have 4 things that guys are trying to massage: Spine, velocity, arrow caliber (for line cutting), and FOC.
Here is just one approach, these are being shot from a 3" overdraw, at 30",by a top shooter who has won in all three formats:
Arrow (Make/Model/Size/Length): Easton/Tru-Flight/2613/27"
Other: PDP Arrow Points 110Gr. for ASA Competition / 210Gr. for Indoor / 60Gr. for IBO.
You can see that the Foc of a 2613 with a 60 gr head is going to be pretty low.
I don't think this setup is typical, but it goes to show that foc is pretty irrelevant.
