I'm very impressed with you knoweledge of bows and your bow reports! I'm wondering if you have anything on the '03 Bowtech EX VFT? I just bought this bow along with an '03 Hoyt CyberTec. I saw your report on the Cyber and would like to see what you have to say about the VFT.
Jake,
If you can, please stay in touch with me and let me know how things go with your VFT. IF the Pat DC is not for me, I may go to the VFT and try it out.

Jerry,
I shot my VFT side by side with my '03 CyberTec today. As far as bow weight goes, the VFT is definetely lighter. It's also faster than the Hoyt.
I'm shooting PSE Carbon Force 300 Dominator arrows with a 100 grain head, weighing in at 380 grains.
My VFT is set at 70 lbs with a 29" draw length. The draw length is an inch longer than my CyberTec, but it doesn't feel it. The VFT shoots 290 fps consistently.
My Hoyt with a 28" draw length and 70 lb draw weight shoots the same arrows as the VFT. My Hoyt was shooting 277 fps consistently.
As far as the draw force goes, the Hoyt is much smoother throughout the draw. Once at full draw, both bows feel equally as comfortable to me, even though the Hoyt has a 75% let off, and the VFT has 65% let off.
I really think that both companies have a winner in these two bows! I'm not really a tech kind of guy when it comes to my bows, but I do know what feels good to me. I also think that both bows are asthetically (sp?) appealing. I've said it many times before, it's not often that I find a bow that looks good to me and feels good in my hand.
I don't think I'll have any problem with the marginal brace height on these two bows, each of which is 6 5/8". It's the same as my Magnatec, a bow that I'm very comfortable shooting.
Jerry, if you have any further info or comparisons about the VFT, let me know, I'd like to hear about it.
Thank you for the compliment! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
I have shot the ExVFT, but only a handful of times, so I don't think I can give any serious evaluation.
It did shoot very smoothly, and with little recoil/vibe.
Jeff, I mentioned on the Easton sight about a bow I wanted your opinion of. This is the one. Thanks for you input and maybe some time soon you could get your hands on one of these awesome bows?
I also own an '03 CyberTec with the C.5. I absolutely love this bow and your report was awesome!
Thanx again for the compliment. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance regarding the ExVFT.
I have another bow or two I'd like to purchase before the ExVFT, but if you'd like to send me yours, I'd be happy to do a report. I'd only need it for 2 months or so <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
