I use the Rip Cord, easy to set up and has worked great for me. The QAD is also a popular rest, I've never used it though. I like the RC because you can lock it in place for hunting or it will raise as you draw back. Great Drop Away. It should improve you groups, It did mine.

I have used both and perfer the QAD for the simple reason that if you ever have to let down on an animal, the rest will remain in the up position where the ripcord will drop. The QAD has the feature of being able to let down without fear of the arrow falling off the rest, but still drops like a normal drop away when you make the shot. IMO it is superior to the ripcord for this extra function it has.

[] the qad has 3 kind's of rest they cost between 40 and 100$ is one better than they other??? the mounting plate on 2 is adjustable and 1 is not. do you need the adjustable mounting plate???[:@] the qad has the lockdown dont thank the ripcord has it??? will the ripcord bounce back before the arrow clear's the rest??? was looking at the ultra-rest hunter.. is the ultra rest pro series ld better than the ultra rest proseries???? is the lockdown tech worth a few more dollars??? thanks WORM

The proseries just makes it easier to make fine adjustments during tuning but honestly you really do not need to spend the extra money. I have used the hunter model with no problems at all. You just need to be a little more careful when adjusting your centershot because its possible for the angle of the lancher and therefor the height of the launcher to change. But if you pay attention to what you're doing, you won't have a problem.

The lockdown function is an interesting concept but I have seen no real difference between the lockdown version and the regular as far as ease of tuning, shooting accuracy or fletching contact.
