String wax
Can someone tell me how to avoid nasty looking string wax, but still have enough wax on the string to protect it. I was shooting this past weekend and when I was finished I brought my bow in the house and it seems like the wax was (for lack of better term) nasty. Once I started rubbing the string with my finger it seemed to warm up and coat the string. Is this a sign of too much wax on the string?

RE: String wax
The best way to get the wax in your string is to press it down every now and then and coat it good. This way you are getting wax on every strand, not just the outside. After that, you can put some on the outside every now and then. I only press mine down and wax about every 2 months, other than that i just coat the outside.
