Hey, still another "newb" post.
I used to shoot ALOT of 3-D tournaments here in ontario with my parents as a kid, up untill 11 years ago, so for back then I knew the new things out. Wich, back then was a basic set up of brass pins, overdraws, kisser buttons and peeps and a stabilizer Carbon arrows were just starting to get big.
Last summer (2006) I went to my first shoot in 10 years, set up the way I remember... and I saw some new technology, I didn't notice and overdraw rests, and everyone was shooting fibre optics.
So, I guess I'm looking for what has changed since back then, and make improvements to my set up so I can be "modern".
Currently I have a PSE Brute force, I shoot with a D ring, and I have cobra fibre optics. For a rest, I have an fully adjustable overdraw that I've had for... 8 years or so.
Just looking at what I should maybe look into, such as a drop away rest, not sure what type of arrows are good for consistancy as it seems I always have one arrow that flys perfect compared to the rest.
Hopefully I can get back into the outdoorsy sports this coming season now that I'm almost out of training.
I think alot of advancement in stabilizer technology has taken place in the last 10yrs!
