The loop is better because it elimnates nock pinch, reduces added weight on the string to increase speed, and there is no serving wear from your release.

For all the reasons Jeremy stated, not sure about the weight difference between nock and string loop though as I have never weighed them. One other reason is that with a brass nock over time and shooting can tend to cause the string fibers underneath the serving to sever.

The loop weighs slightly less than a single brass nock. Then you add the eliminator button that is needed, it is roughly twice the weight of a rope loop. With my short draw length, I try to find speed whereever I can.

Does the loop move up or down after shooting to change your knock point? That's what I'm affraid of, I was goign to crimp a brass knock on then put the loop above/below it. [align=right]

There are some folks who do that, but it isn't necessary. The loop, when first tied, can be moved up/down a little with smooth jaw pliers. But after ahundred shots or so, it is very secure.

No, the loop is tied in a way where the more you shoot it, the tighter it gets. I haven't had one slip yet. If your worried about it, you could tie on a nock point using serving thread instead of using the brass. But I have never seen a need to do this, the loop itself has always stayed in place for me.
