Field tips or practice tips?

Hey guys, thanks for all the info you have provided me. Being totally new this website has been a great help.

I'm putting the finishing touches on my bow setup, I need some tips to practice at home with. Should Iget field tips with a small point or should I use the rounded practice tips for target shooting in the yard? I will be shooting thoselayerd targets and probably get some 3d's soon.

6 of one, half dozen of the other. Just make sure they're not a larger diameter than your arrow.

Am I missing something in the question? Field tips ARE practice tips. They are the same thing.
