Default enough bow for RAGE

I have a 07 element, 58# 28in carbon with a 100 grain 3 blade Rage. Total arrow weight around 400 grains. Is this enough bow to push that head throught a deer. The figured KE is 41.7

I'm shooting a 61# Hoyt Protec, and pushing my Axis arrows at about 259 fps. I had a two blade rage go through the muscle tissue of the nearshoulder, through the ribs, both lungs, and stick in the off shoulder of a very large mule deer - couple of weeks ago in the mountains of Colorado. There was maybe 7" of arrow sticking out of the entry side. That's over 22" of penetration. You should be fine.

Sonoma, my setup generates about a pound less KE than yours. I don't consider my setup "enough bow" for large cut mechanicals by any stretch of the imagination. If you're deadset on using the Rage, use the 2 bladed version, not the 3.

no , you should be shooting 2 blade cut on contact fixed heads that are scarry sharp , a 2 inch mecanical head is out of the question .

No not really. Yes if your shots are broadside and close you may get a pass through, but angled shots or those at longer ranges are going to give you trouble. Rage heads are fine, but not near the head the advertisers would have you believe. Pick a good solid fixed blade head, tune you bow and keep the heads sharp. over time your results will be much better.
