... the Diamond Archery booth?

Please tell me all about it, if possible

Range--

Yes, I stopped by, and checked out their new stuff. The Machete is a nice bow, 32" ATA with 7.75" brace height, 3lbs 6 oz, gets 315fps. The tolerances were great throughout the lineup. 1/2" draw modules for 2003, AND they now offer not only 80%, but 65% modules as well, along with a stainless stabilizer bushing, and superflage finish. Grip areas have been altered slightly for better handling also.

The Invader was nice too, 34" aTA with 7" brace, 314 or so IBO speed. And of course they had the rest of the line, including the Widowmaker that makes a great forgiving bow IMHO. Solid bows with a few new improvements, still high quality IMO. Good shooting, Pinwheel 12

Thanks for the update. Looks like I'll keep shooting my hornet, until they offer something that does 350+ fps in a similar package

Of course you realize to get that kind of speed you'll be shooting a twin cam, don't you? Pinwheel 12

PW, did you draw the bows and if so how much difference could you feel in the new cam? When I drew one at the shop a couple of weeks ago it felt smoother especially on front slope. Also did they have the new mideval looking idler with ball bearings? The main change on the cam was on the back track to improve nock travel.

8PT-

Yes, they have the new "medieval" idler design. I didn't really notice the draw that much or difference thereof, but then again wasn't really looking for it either, to be honest. I thought it drew well. You must remember that I run around that place like a chicken every year trying to absorb everything in 3 days, and it simply isn't enough time to pick every product totally apart.(tho I do try) I will say they are still a very high-quality bow, they do a nice job with them and they will gain their share of the market again this year.

okbwhntr-

Back at you big guy! Had a great time speaking with you also, just like an old friend instead of new! Will definately have to do it again in the future. (Where were you at 12:00 on Saturday, you missed the meeting!) I also knew it would just be a matter of time before you took the Bowtech line on from the way you spoke, good luck with it. Good shooting, Pinwheel 12
