RE: Reflex Caribou Hunting Setup
Your Caribou is very similar to my older model Hoyt ProTec. It was designed to be primarily shot with fingers instead of a release aid. I don't know how old yours is, if it's the older model with Accuwheels or one of the newer ones with the Wheel 1/2, but both have a pretty mushy back wall. Fine for a fingers shooter, but not so hot for release. It can be shot well with a release, it's just not really a primo setup for that style.
I'll tell you how I've got my Hoyt setup and, naturally, I've got it set up to shoot with a fingers release.
When I use sights, which is not often, I've got an Archers Choice Grizzly sight, and I bought two extra pins to put in it to make it a 5-pin sight. Pins are set for 20-30-40-50 and 60 yards. I'd also be using a 1/4" G5 Meta peep sight.
My arrow rest is a Cavalier FreeFlyte micro adjust flipper.
I've also got a 4" Doinker stabilizer.
My bow came standard with Limbsavers. I don't know if Reflex includes them with their bows or not. If not, I really recommend them or one of the newer type of vibration damping limb accessories. Also, I highly recommend plain old catwhiskers string silencers. They do just as good as any other string silencer and will last as long as the string does.
I prefer either a Neet PFT tab, a Black Widow tab or a Damascus glove for finger protection.
For aluminum arrows, I'd go with 28" 2215's with 125 grain broadheads, either Muzzy 3-blade or Magnus Stingers. Another arrow for you to consider is Carbon Express Terminator Select, probably size 6075. These are very consistent and durable arrow shafts.
