I left it at 4 feathers and it comes out to an "optimal" spine of .3067. That is also with "hunting" selected which will give you a little stiffer spine in the optimal range than "target". FOC is 12.73

You can probably use them with no problem. I made the shaft a .5" longer (30.5) and it brought the spine down to .3017

Thanks Bruce, so what head did you put in? I would get those 50gr inserts like you used.

I had a 125gr head with a 15 gr insert. Although a CT insert for the whitetail will weigh 22 gr. I suppose I should have left the insert at 22 but was think a standard insert. So, anyway, with the CT insert that would bring the spine even closer to .300 and you could probably get away with a 30" shaft.

With the speed of the Commander you really don't need to increase the tip weight all that much past 125 but if you wanted to fool around with a higher FOC and shorter shaft...........

Not to take away from your thread bigcountry, but brucelanthier ran some numbers for my setup and he worked with me and we made a few minor changes to my setup and my bow has never shot as good as it is now. Just a public thanks to brucelanthier and my thanks goes out.

You're welcome. The best part is that your bow is shooting the arrows like you want it too. Good luck with your season!
