Default Can you remove pins from RT1000 Extreme sight?

I like the RT900 but like the smaller pins on the 1000. I just won't hunt with more than 2 or three pins. Can you remove two of them? Anyone know?

Absolutely!! I've got three of these sights, and I've done everything to them. I've completely removed one of the whole pins (unscrewed the nut on the back of the pin, and pulled out the fiber optic), re-installed a pin, had a fiber snap off on me in Colorado (my fault being careless during some spot-and-stalking) and I pulled the leftover fiber still inside the clear tubing out, pushed it through the little hole in my metal pin, and took a lighter to it to flare out the end and I was as good as new.

Thanks Greg for the advise. So do you see any advantage to being able to remove the RT1000? I want the RT900 but with .019 pins.

Just called extreme archery. Bunch of good ole boys from my home state of ky. They said they can make any pin combo I want. So I ordered a RT900 with 2 .029 pins and 2 .019 pins. So got the best of both worlds.

They said I can have any color combo I want too. So I am not tied down with getting it one way from Bass pro.

I already had one I hunted with and was on staff with another scope company so it was kind of a conflict, besides,I could get them through my dealer as cheap as they were offering.

I still use my xlt 900 and really see no reason to change, great sight, especially for the money.
