Default Guess Who I Slept With Last Night. ??

She was sexy, Hot and fast............a little Mrs. D.C. Patriot. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>

First off, thanks Jeff, but I ended up finding one very close to home
I am not going to give a full report at this time since Ausie's is still going strong. I pretty much agree with his assessment of the bow. It is everything that it should be.

My bow was tested by Bowtech at 29&quot; and 70.5 lbs to shoot 322. This thing is absolutely smoking!!!!

My first shots with no accessories and a 365 grn arrow produced only a little vibration, this bow just sits in your hand after the shot. Very nice.

Now to the negatives,
THE WALL OF DEATH, Man I thought my mathews Feathermax would want to get away from you at full draw.

After about 50 shots and lowering the poundage to 60# I still could not find a spot on the wall that felt comfortable to me. That 65% letoff is a bit of a bear. Almost every time I settled the pin and relaxed she wanted to pull away from me. In the bows defense I did tag out on Nov. 8th, and have not really shot for two months, so my strength may have been off. But this bow will definitely take some getting used to and a bit of weight training. <img src=icon_smile_blush.gif border=0 align=middle>

The only other negative I can think of is that when held, without drawing back, she wants to lean over a bit. At full draw she sits nice and is IMO a very well balanced bow.

FWIW - the VFT single cam was much more shooter friendly to me with 80% and a little more forgiving wall. If I cannot get used to the DC Pat, and I fell comfortable with the 6-5/8 brace of the VFT, the VFT might be a better bow for me.

Thanks for the info. Did yours come without the cable adjusters too? I'm wondering how they function and how these bows are getting by without them. I would think the absence of them would require a different cable length or something. Do you have any thoughts on this?

So would you consider the &quot;wall of death&quot; a hard wall? How is the drawlength adjustment? Mods only?

Thanks-
Chief

chief,

The wall is very solid, very, very small valley

My bow does not have the adjusters on it. Dealer said he is not sure what they involve, as he doesn’t even have a manual on these bows yet.

Draw length is Mods only, there are no posts on the cam

From reading the title I guess it was someone with a bowtech. I am really looking into them and guess I am a little green eyed<img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle> that you guys are all getting these new bow. I'll post the same way when I get one. Just wish it was sooner than later. I will not get mine until fathers day. It's going to take me that long to save up for it.
Congratulation

Rack-Attack,

It's not polite to talk about sleeping with a new girl.
Especially, on the message board. LOL.

Rack-Attack, there might be a possibility, if the buss cables bottom on the modules at full draw that you could have a good machinest take off a very small amount of material where the buss cable bottoms to increase the valley. The modules would have to be done exactly alike to get the proper rotation but I'm sure it could be done if the modules allow. Good luck with your new bow.

Rack.
Are the stops both hitting the cable at the same time?
Mainly asking cause I can creep about 1/2&quot; before it wants to launch.

Ausie,

You are correct, I just shot it a bit more at lunch. There is about 1/2&quot; of movement then she just rips away. I think it is the 60% that was fooling me. If I do not keep it tight against the wall it does get away from me, and I am not used to holding that much weight. I have it in the low #60's right now and I am shooting like dog with it<img src=icon_smile_blush.gif border=0 align=middle>.

I remember having the same problems with my Mathews when I first started shooting it. I will give this bow the proper time to get used too. But at this point I have my doupts as to whether I will become comfortable with it.

On a plus note, this bow is increadibly quite and shock free for the power it puts out. I like the grip, it fits my hand very well.

Rack-

I'll give you $50 to take it off your hands, LOL.

Sounds a lot like an older model BK2, I played around with one of those for about a week and it would do the same thing, and don't even think about letting down with it because you would destroy a knuckle on the cable rod. What is the let-down like?

Can't wait to get mine!!!
