Default Hoyt cable configuration

Can someone help with how a 2001 protec should be set up? My dealer is a great guy, but lax on details. He had my cable guard backwards,(according to the manual), but I have no details as to whether the cables should cross above or below the cable guard. I know the short slot in the guard should be towards the shooter. I have the versa-cam. Thanks in advance!

They should cross below the cable guard.

Here's is a pretty good general rule to go by:

"CABLES CROSS:
Little rule of thumb
upper cableguard-----cross below
lower cable guard-----cross above
This is the method use the most here at the plant
From Levi @ PSE"

Hope this helps.Be safe.
