Default any archery history buffs?

Talking with a fellow at work and he claims his bows draw weight is adjustable from 40lbs to 70lbs--has there ever been any bow that has these features? The reason i'm asking is that he said he has it set at 47lbs,but it will go to 70lbs.I assumed he had a 60 cranked down and advised him to be careful about backing it down too far and having something go wrong real fast--you'd think i told him that i had the hots for his mother the way he acted after that!

Default RE: any archery history buffs?

High Country made a cam that allowed that much adjustment. The limbs had a 10# range but the cam allowed it to be moved to 50, 60 and 70# peak weights on the same bow so, it could go from 40-70#'s. It also allowed for something like 6" of draw length adjustment and let-off adjustment from 65-80%. It was great for dealers since we didn't have to stock a whole bunch of modules but I doubt it used that cam to it's highest efficiency unless you just happen to set it where it was optimally engineered for.
