Default Picking up my new bow soon Drenalin

Well after a long and loyal love affair with Bowtech I have decided to buy a Mathews this year. I still love my Bowtech but wanted to try something different this year. The Mathews draw and grip handle along with its looks (love the cable roller) drew me in this year.

The new bow will be set up with a G5 Meta peep, Summit Hot Dot, QAD rest and CSS. I will have to talk the CSS over with the archery tech but I like the clean look of the MeanV. I was planning on using my Helical Feather Easton Lightspeeds and G5 Montecs this year. I have ordered a new winners choice to go along with the bow and will shoot the stock string until it comes in then I will install the winners choice and keep the stock as a spare. What do you guys think? Any changes or additions needed? This is my first Mathews so I dunno if there are any must haves.

Great setup...But....

FYI:
I would own one except i have seen 3 of these models with cracked limbs. I dont know if anyone else on here has seen this or heard it. I talked to other people and i know two others who have heard the same thing. But i seen it myself.

I shoot a mathews and always will.I just wish i had not seen that. Check into it though. Anyone else seen this or heard of it??

Only thing I have heard of is bad strings on the Mathews. The Mathews forum is ripe with string issues. Cracked limbs seems to be the vogue net gripe with most bows these days. I quit reading about cracked bowtech limbs a long time ago and just enjoyed shooting my bow (and great factory string btw).

Drenalin limbs are small profile so I imagine you must be careful with them (no dry fire, etc.) but I don't have any real worries about them as I didn't plan on dry firing the bow anyway. I worry more about splintered carbon arrows these days.

I don't think anyone plans on dryfiring a bow. Most times that it happens is when you are showing off your bow and someone draws it and lets it go. Or perhaps you are tired and you draw the bow to check certain things and it slips out of your fingers or your release fails.

I think it's overrated IMO. The strings suck, good luck with the metapeep. I think its a pretty loud bow (for $800) too. But matthews is a great company with great customer service. Its a great shooting bow. Smooth, fast, and not much vibration.

Congrats on the new bow.
Always good to try something different every once in a while.
