I use a dropaway rest. I've fletched my own arrows in the past but I always seem to have one arrow that is always way off. Could the location of the cock feather on the arrow make a big difference? I thought today's carbon arrows are straight enough. If so, how do you all go about getting this right? Or, do you just throw the feathers on anywhere?
Carbons are better than they used to bebut still not perfect.I think probably the odd flier is more caused by spine inconsistency than straightness. You should be able to twist the nock until you find the sweet spot that'll bring the arrow into the group.
If that doesn't work, then put a blunt on it and use itfor acritter gitter.
