Default I don't like any

I have my own system. Besides, you can get oxygen atrophy from a one of those tree harnesses, if your large carcass, hangs too long from the tree.

A modern body harness prevents a legal suit. Some people don't belong up in trees. Even if they call themselves, Sportsman.

I use a Hunter Safety System vest and a 20 foot Fall Guy Strap.

Can anyone point me to some legit information stating whether or not it is acceptable to use the hook of an overhead bridge crane as an anchor point for fall protection as long as the crane is locked out. I have found conflicting interpretations online.

If your that big that you need to use a crane to get up to your stand, maybe you should look more at ground blinds. Im sure the crane may get stuck getting in and out of the timber at some point and time. Not too mention the noise and scent factors associated with using a crane also.
MY personal choice is my HSS system and the Gorilla Safety Harness.

I probably sound cheap with this but up until this year I always just used the harnesses that came with tree stands when you bought them. I have about two totes full of that kind of harnesses but this spring I went out and bought a $150 one and since I've gotten it I won't ever use the other kind agian

That sounds more like an OSHA type question, rather than a hunting question.

The Livewire by Tree Spider looks interesting.

I always use a full body harness.
Site is down and presumably for sale.

I also use the HSS. Comfortable, non-restrictive and safe. I also use a lifeline to get up and down the tree to my stand. $100 is pretty cheap when you consider the alternatives from falling from the tree.

Probably a troll, as that was his first and only post so far and he hasn't been back on the site since!
