Default peak weight

does a bow shoot just as good if it is maxed out right now the highest my bow can go is 60 pounds and that is what I have it set at.

Yes, it does! In fact it is the more prefered way to shoot a compound bow, at its upper level of the poundage adjustment. There is less vibration in the limb pockets.
