Default Gettin ready to refletch

I am getting reasy to set up my 07 hunting arrows, and was wondering, how far do you guys have your vanes from your nocks? My are currently an inch, I was thinking about only having half an inch, I heard the further back they are the better they will control the arrow. So what do you guys suggest?

Using a release, you can set them back as far as your jig will let you, but no further back than having the fletch just touch your face when you're at anchor. Fletching cuts on the lip are to be avoided. Trust me.[:-]
