It may not have a linkage or string but it's still something that can be bent or broken......IMHO of course.......Hunter Elite looks good though.

CG I have seen the Power Drop in person and I think it would be really hard to bend it. If you did you have other issues to worry about other than the rest, IMHO. I think the rod is a lot more durable than any string, spring or rubber attachment system. I'll need to see it some more before I lay final judgement on it but from what I saw it looked very nice and durable.

yes I agree the Hunter Elite looks very good and should work great on bows such as the Mathews Icon & Legacy.

Some observations-

Can the drop rod freeze up?

It appears the shaft will be on the rest much longer than most drop aways, since the launchers don't drop until the cables forward motion engages the drop rod, which from the pic would occur late in the power stroke. Possibly this will make proper spine selection more critical?

Since the launcher's drop, I wonder why they didn't use a more hold the arrow in place type design?

Could cable contact with the drop rod introduce speed robbing friction?

I suppose time will tell...

I take very good care of my equipment but I've had sight pins bend, rests get knocked out of whack, etc, etc. I'm just stating, that this is just another &quot;piece&quot; that can be knocked out of whack. I'm not condemning the rest at all. I'm sure it will be great. BUT as with nearly all drop aways, there is something else besides just the piece that holds the arrow that can go wrong. My issue that I worry about is hunting up to 15 miles a day in Wyoming's wilderness areas for mulies and elk....and the fact I always seem to end up on my a$$ at least once a day from being &quot;less than sure-footed&quot;. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Looks to me as though you may have some serious fletching contact issues with that rubber bumper

I was thinking the same thing about the fletching contact. Looks like this could be a serious problem on some bows. Also I am not sure I want my cables constantly banging and rubbing into that rubber thingy. I have read a lot of posts with folks shouting its praises but never fron anyone that had actually even shot it. I think I will stick with my NAP Quicktune. Works perfectly with less unnecessary gizmos and bulkiness. I could be wrong, but I don't see this one making much headway personally although marketing overload has done some amazing things in the past.

the PD I saw had no problems with fletching contact. the rep had it on a mathew fx & it cleared no problem. the rod can be moved so you should be able to get it away from your fletching no problem.

JJimmy/8 ...Not at all ,Fletching problems no Way.
We have been testing the Power Drop fo some time on all
bows ,it has interchangable bumpers and lengths that do not ever make
contact with fletching.
You need to see the PD in action!
