You may have seated/pushed the insert in to far for the fieldtip threads to reach.

The inserts are fine because my muzzy 3 blades go in perfectly.
Maybe this will explain better...
The part with the red arrow seems to be larger than the inside diameter of the arrow. Do they make smaller field tips?

Ok I get what you are saying. With that said I use the same type of fieldpoint (Actually a Sportsmans Warehouse version)in my Easton Axis and have had no problem with them going right in and setting snugly and squarely?

You need 17/64" diameter field points. They're made especially for Axis diameter arrows.

Sportsman's Warehouse usually has them in stock.

I know exactly the problem you're having. It's most likely from a thin layer of excess epoxy on the inner shaft wall. Try a different brand field tip and if that doesn't work you're going to need to roll up a small piece of emory cloth and polish the point shank until it fits.

I had to order tips from Easton because no one around here carries 17/64" tips. They're expensive, but at least I have some tips now.
