Just curious, but I can't help but notice that a lot of guys shoot an arow that is 1-2inches shorter than their draw lenghts.Does'nt that put the arrow behind the hand and therefore magnify any inconsistances in grip and form? Not to mention it seems a little dangerous. Please don't take this the wrong way,I'm not critasizing anyone just curious thats all!
I'll take a stab at this one. Use of a containment style rest (wb, etc) will greatly reduce the risk of anything happening from the arrow being behind the hand. Also, as long as your rest/nocking point/loop is tuned properly, the length of arrow isn't an issue.

Yes, that is the theory. Although it's not so much arrow length as it is rest position. For instance, if I shoot a 32" arrow on an overdraw, the pivot point is still behind the riser. This is why overdraws are such touchy critters to shoot.
I can't say how far behind the grip the rest has to be before the difference is significant.
