Default Blazers, FOC & balance Point

All my equipment is listed below. Last year, I had 6 arrows refletched by my archery shop in blazer vanes and 6 with feathers. I consistently hit pop cans out to 55 yards with the feathers. When comparing the Blazers to the feather fletched arrows, I noticed the Blazers were faster, but were right of my feather impact and started to fishtail at 24 yards. I put the Blazers on the shelf and finished the hunting season with the feathers. I pulled the Blazers off the shelf this summer to further test the difference. I am still getting the fishtail from the Blazers.
In an attempt to make a long story short, I do not believe I am getting contact from the Blazer to the rest. I balanced my feather fletched arrow with a 100grbroadhead and made a mark at the balance point. I did the same with the blazer fletched arrow. I prefer to shoot a relatively short arrow at 25 3/4". The balance point of the feather fletched arrow was 9" from the top of the insert. The balance point of the Blazer fletched arrow was 9 1/4".
Can a 1/4" difference in balance point throw off my FOC enough to account for the fishtail? I am trying to gather more information on FOC, but a quick explanation would also help. I love the speed and whisper quiet flight of the Blazers, but not at the expense of accuracy. Any advice or ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks!

1/4" difference won't change arrow flight at all. I can think of several possiblities for the problem.

Fletching contact, which you don't think is happening.

Fletching the Blazers with insufficient offset so they lose stability downrange as the arrow loses speed. A 25" arrow is not as stable as a longer arrow to begin with.

Bow is out of tune and the arrow is flying crooked for the first 20 yards before it tries to correct itself.

Those are just what comes to mind right off.

I believe Arthur is correct about out of tune slightly. The Feathers do a better job of correcting the bad flight than do the Blazers and that imo,is what you are seeing. If you had a little better tune, there probably wouldn't be a noticable difference in the 2.

I also agree with the rest of his observations as well.
