Default Benefits of Blazer Vanes

Can someone tell me what exactly the benefits of blazer vanes is? A lot of people switching over is this something i should consider? What are the ups and downs of em'?

Ups: flatter shooting, tighter groups, faster arrows speed, better in the wind

They are stiffer than regular plastic vanes so they do not flex as much when air hits them. Thus they spin better as they go through the air compared to regular vanes of the same size or larger.

Since they are more efficient you can use a smaller vane which can cut down on weight and increase FOC.

Keep in mind this is with some sort of offset or helical in your fletching. Fletching them straight would not gain you much in my opinion.

The down side to them is they are pretty stiff and have no forgiveness if they contact something.

It still prefer feathers myself to be honest.

There are definitely more benifits than negitives. One downside that I haven't seen posted here yet is that in some cases, you will have fletching contact with your rest because blazers are a little "taller". Not a big problem becuase you can work around it, but definitely something to be aware of. I use Blazers and absolutely love them. Wouldn't use anything else.
