Default Tuning Question

alright folks.... im no tuning expert by any means, so i have a question to ask. i decided to change broadheads for this year, i went from muzzy 3-blade 125's to G5 Montec 100's... the problem i am having is that rather than my POI w/ even field points dropped a few inches, and my 20 and closer pin is now only good out to 10 yards. i was curious what you guys thought might be the problem. by the way... my draw length is 29" and im shooting about 58lbs... i think i may need to turn up my draw weight, but i figured i would ask you guys before messing with anything. thanks in advance.

Default RE: Tuning Question

If your arrows were properly spined for 125 gr tips, they aren't for 100 gr ones. I'm guessing that you didn't spine tune, so that very important part of the equation is missing. More draw weight will decrease dynamic spine, so it may work and will only take seconds to confirm.

It could also be that your 125 gr tipped arrows were weak and that your nock point is simply too high. You'd be well served to use the tip that spine tests best for your setup at the draw weight you prefer to shoot.

my arrows are 29" CX Terminator Hunters 6075's... after looking at the chart, it seems to me that my arrows are too stiff. sorry for the stupid questions...

Run the numbers with a 125gr tip/head and see how it works out.
