Default Vector Cams on a Trykon???

I have an 06 Trykon and I do not like the way the cams load up. Have any of you Trykon owners considered swapping out the cams for the new vector cams that are on the Vulcan??? Anybody know if this will work? If so is it just a cam swap out or does theh cable & string need changing as well?

I am not sure if it would work but my gut feeling is it SHOULD.It may change the poundage a bit but shouldn't be too much.

You would have to change the strings and cables.

For what it would cost,I would suggest selling your bow and buying the Vectrix. You wouldn't be out much more that way.

I was about half serious when I looked into changing mine over.
besides the cams of course, you need strings and cables AND limbs.
TFOXsaid sell it, and I would too. Then go buy a Vectrix.

Yes... that's what I was afraid of... based on what you guys told me selling and buying new makes sense. Thanks for the responses.

TFOX is right on. They will indeed work. Install an STS after that, and you've pretty much got a Vectrix.....You're kind of stuck between a rock and a hard spot ........Doing all of that won't be cheap, because you're also going to need new strings and cables.....The length of your current ones won't work w/ the new cams....Ok, so now you're up to a couple hundred bucks......May as well take a bit of a hit on your Trykon, trade up and get a Vectrix orVulcan....

I'm feeling rather sympathetic with the folks that bought a Trykon last year.....The Vectrix really is much better, and the problem is when guys go to trade up their Trykon's they just don't get much for them, because 99% of the people are going to buy a brand new Vectrix for almost the same money.......

Archer 58 , you would not need to get new limbs for the trykon. Just cams and strings and cables.

Thanks again for the input... right now I will sit tight. I also have a 2006 Switchback which I like a lot. But yu never know.... I just may put the Trykon on ebay as a bare bow and see what happens.
